JASMINE KAAR : CINEMATIC JOURNEY
Jasmine Kaar is a Malaysian-Australian actor and model whose screen experience spans international and Asian productions.
Born in Sarawak, Malaysia and educated in Australia, Jasmine brings a multicultural perspective and a strong sense of discipline to her work. She made her feature-film debut in the Tamil action thriller Kadaram Kondan (2019), appearing alongside acclaimed actor Vikram in a production by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International.
She also appeared in Warner Bros.’ Crazy Rich Asians (2018), gaining experience on a major international production and further developing her interest in screen performance.
Before entering the entertainment industry, Jasmine completed degrees in finance and marketing and spent eight years working in the finance sector. Her decision to pursue acting followed a successful corporate career and reflected a long-standing desire to explore storytelling, character and human behaviour through performance.
Jasmine’s background has also given her a strong physical and creative foundation. She competed in track and swimming, represented Sabah in karate and has played the piano since the age of seven. Her athletic experience contributes to her body awareness, focus and ability to approach physically demanding roles, while her musical training supports her sense of rhythm, timing and emotional expression.
Standing at 5’10”, Jasmine has a commanding screen presence and is particularly suited to roles requiring confidence, intelligence, physical strength and emotional depth. Her multicultural upbringing and professional experience allow her to portray characters who move naturally between different social, cultural and professional environments.
Jasmine is continuing to develop her international acting career and is interested in character-driven film and television projects across Asia, Australia and the wider global market. She is drawn to roles that explore identity, ambition, resilience and the complexities of contemporary life.
